When I say “boys are dumb” what I really mean is “boys have been raised in a patriarchal society that forces them into an incorrect and problematic view of masculinity that not only forces them to strip away valuable virtues from themselves, like patience and gentleness, but also forces them them to view and treat women in unhealthy ways that devalues women as people and makes them into objects purely for a man’s benefit”

but it’s a lot faster to say “boys are dumb”

I am a woman and I used to be a feminist until I found out feminist don’t actually give a damn about actual equality. But that isn’t what this is about.
Men, if a woman hits you first, feel free to hit her back. I see way too many women in public who think it’s okay to be violent against guys just becuase society says it’s okay and that they can’t hit you back. I consider violence to be wrong, but if a woman is okay with violence to hit you, kick you in the balls, or anything, then she needs to know that it should be okay to hit her back.
If I hit a guy for no real reason and he hit me back, I would consider that action a better representation of equality and even feminism than him refusing to do it. Him hitting me back means that he accepts that I am just as capable as him. Him hitting me back means that he doesn’t see me as some weak woman, but as an asshole who hit him first.
This is in unpopular opinions because for some stupid reason, it is completely acceptable for women to do stupid stuff like this with no consequences. It’s okay for women to comment on what men wear, on what they look like, tell them to “man up”, and even to assault them, but not okay to do the same. It’s okay for a woman to not want a baby when she feels she isn’t ready (after consensual intercourse), but not for a man. That isn’t equality. That way of thinking isn’t helping women, it’s hurting them. Treat us with the same consequences as men, the good and bad.

The “feminism” you’re talking about isn’t real feminism. A real feminist believes in equality. No one should hit anyone ever but if some one is attacking you, self defense is always okay. Saying feminism is wrong is saying that women don’t deserve equal rights, which is what the movement was started for. Even today we still have an extremely problematic society. It’s not okay that certain women act this way but they’re shitty people, not feminists. Another thing I’d like to add is that many times women feel they can act this way because they were brought up this way *because* of our patriarchal society, because for years women were thought to be stupid and weak and men had to be strong and unemotional; I AGREE IT’S PROBLEMATIC. It’s not okay but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be a feminist. Being a feminist is “the radical notion that women are actually people.” Without feminism you wouldn’t have any of the rights you would today, just saying.

my sister:
oh my god
me:
what?
my sister:
i just realized something
me:
?
my sister:
gaston is a nice guy.
me:
...? um, no, sorry, he's an asshole.
my sister:
no, no, no, gaston is a 'nice guy'. think about it. he spends the whole beginning of the movie trying to be friendly to belle. everyone else in that town thinks she's a bookish freak with a crazy man for a father, but gaston like, talks to her and sort of tries to take an interest in her activities and compliments her and stuff with the complete 100% expectation that she's going to pay him back by being in a relationship with him. he tunes out what she actually says because he doesn't really think of her as a person, just a pretty trophy who should react to him the right way if he does the right things.
me:
huh
my sister:
and then when she hooks up with someone else, he gets all angry and shouty and insists that this other guy is a monster and she's lost her damn mind because she was supposed to fall for HIM, not someone else, and then he goes and stirs up the townsfolk into an angry mob and turns the whole thing into a witch hunt over his wounded pride.
me:
O_O
my sister:
gaston is a nice guy.
